Hybrid cinema or hybrid cinematic narrative describes a type of filmmaking or viewing experience that blends traditional cinematic narrative patterns with newer innovative methods The word hybrid means mixed or hybrid Many digital viewing alternatives and different production practices 360 films film production with artificial intelligence virtual reality have become the visual and auditory production practices currently used by hybrid narratives creating a narrative with semiotic elements and intertextual dialogues where the message is not directly given This study aims to contribute to the literature by presenting 15 chapters by 16 authors who discuss this new term in theoretical and practical terms focusing on the following main topics the mixing of different narrative forms the creation of an intersection between digital and analog production practices the initiation of interaction and the inclusion of the audience in the story through new technologies the blending of the internal dynamics of genres the discussion of the relationship between reality and artificiality in content by presenting fiction and non fiction together the combining of characters stories from different visual environments and the increase in diversity through non linearity especially transmedia
